My name is Will. This is my blog to document my progress as I try to become a better climber. Technically, I’ve been climbing for almost three years now. However, I haven’t climbed in over a year. During that year off, I did a great job at gaining weight and losing all my callouses. Truth be told, I’ve really only had one real climbing season. That season was, at best, short. The closest rock to where my wife and I lived was four hours away.
At the end of my only real climbing season, I was starting to lead 5.9 climbs. Most of the climbing I have done has been at Foster Falls in Tennessee. My wife and I just moved to Seattle and we’ve joined Stone Gardens climbing gym. We are excited about being so close to good climbing. I decided to start this blog to try to hold myself accountable for getting in shape. Also, I wanted to offer the climbing world a voice that speaks from the beginner’s point of view. Not every climbing discussion needs to focus on sending 5.14’s.
Thanks for stopping by!
